Head Coach Richard Hill felt his Warriors had missed a golden opportunity to claim another Aviva Premiership victory as they lost out 10-6 to London Wasps at Adams Park.
Warriors battled back from 10-0 down with a penalty and drop goal from Andy Goode setting up a dramatic finale to the league game.
Worcester just failed to find a way over the whitewash in an absorbing final five minutes.
But Hill was less than impressed with his team before that and admitted that they have barely deserved a win after the manner of the performance.
“I don’t think either team played particularly well, we played marginally worse,” said Hill.
“Credit to Wasps for holding out at the end when we could have sneaked it, but I’m not sure we deserve to have sneaked it.
“Both teams tried hard, but there were so many individual errors. Our lineout did not function when we had good attacking positions.
“It was a poor game, error strewn on both sides. Apart from the first two minutes when Wasps got the try, after that it was a pretty dour affair.
“The players were making individual uncharacteristic errors. Both teams could get into the opposition 22, it wasn’t a case of the game being played in the middle third.
“We had lots of key attacking opportunities, including a number of attacking lineouts that we just lost. You have to turn pressure into points.
“We couldn’t hold onto the ball and the only time we did was right at the end when Wasps defended superbly well to keep us out.
“It was a golden opportunity missed,” he added. “Wasps are not playing the best rugby they can play at this moment in time but they dug in to win.
“It is a chance we have let slip and we are disappointed. We have got a bonus point so it is not all doom and gloom. But from our point of view, and the standards we set, we are not happy.
“There was no rhythm to the game. It is very frustrating. I didn’t say much to the players at the end, otherwise I would have blown my top, and I will wait until Tuesday when we come in to debrief it.”
