Three young Worcester Warriors EPDG players have been selected for the England Unde-18 and Under-17 squads for the 2012/13 season.
Young forward Andrew Boyce, who appeared for the Warriors first-team in the pre-season clash against Plymouth this season, is part of the Under 18 team whilst fellow forwards Sam Smith and Huw Taylor will join up with the Under 17s.
England coaches John Fletcher, Pete Walton and Ian Peel named their squad earlier today and Head Coach Fletcher is looking forward to getting the players together at a training camp later this month.
He said: “It’s important for us to spend some time with the players and monitor their progress from the summer.
“This is a strong group and we are looking forward to the season ahead. We feel that they have the potential to go on and perform well in the matches and the Under 18 FIRA/AER European Championship.
“It’s important to remember we’ll get another opportunity to take a look at these guys, and more, in a competitive environment in the Under 18 Academy competitions which takes place just before and just after Christmas.”
