J.P. Morgan Asset Management Premiership Rugby 7s Cup

The J.P. Morgan Premiership Rugby 7s Cup took place at Sixwayson Saturday, October 13 and was a day full of fast-running, thrilling rugby.

Telford were the big winners on the day as they won the Plate competition, beating Worcester in the final, and also the Cup as they defeated Droitwich in extra time with a try under the posts. As part of their prize, Telford have also been invited to attend the J.P. Morgan Asset Management Premiership Rugby 7s Series Final in 2013.

Tamara Taylor, Community Rugby Coach at Warriors, said: “It was a fantastic sunny day and I was delighted to see so much wonderful flowing rugby on show! The skills were outstanding and the players loved every second. Congratulations to Telford who managed to win competitions.”

The J.P. Morgan Premiership Rugby 7s Cup is a prestigious 7s festival for under 14s at grassroots clubs, now into its second year, taking place at the 12 Premiership Rugby clubs in 2012 and 2013. The festival gives valuable experience of the 7s game to youngsters, helping in their rugby development and working towards developing the stars of the future.
