Hill wants his Warriors to go on the attack

Head Coach Richard Hill has urged his Warriors to go on the attack when they face Saracens in the Aviva Premiership at Sixways Stadium on Friday night (kick-off 8pm).

Hill has been boosted this week by the news that international trio Josh Matavesi, Ravai Fatiaki and Aleki Lutui will be available after being released from duty with their country.

And ahead of the big league encounter Hill admits he is set to make changes after several players impressed in the LV=Cup in recent weeks.

“Our selection is geared towards attack and there will be changes,” he said. “We have rested one or two over the last few weeks so selection is interesting and a few players have put their hands up in the LV=Cup.

“There is more competition for places and it might not be the same sort of team that people have seen in the past, one or two have really stood out and impressed the coaching staff.

“We need to go out and attack the opposition and with some confidence. I am looking for big ball carriers in the forwards and putting a talented attacking team out in the three-quarters.

“We have the two Fijians back in Ravai Fatiaki and Josh Matavesi,” he added.

“We have heard today we have also got Aleki Lutui back officially so that is good news to get those three back. David Lemi is doing so well for Samoa and captaining them he is in full swing and we won’t have him.

“Our strength in depth is better than it was last year and I know that because we have more competition for places.

“I have got some interesting dilemmas when they are all available with who I pick.

“At the start of the season we had a lot of injuries and it picked itself. Now I am finding our selection meetings are increasingly longer and longer to pick the best team. I could pick a number of combinations.”
