Boss Richard Hill believes his Warriors are back on track for a strong season after overcoming a dip in form.
Head Coach Hill admitted after the narrow loss at Quins that he felt his squad had dropped off in disappointing away defeats to London Wasps and Exeter Chiefs.
But after back-to-back games with top two Saracens and Harlequins yielded a five-point haul – to leave Worcester on 20 points after ten games – Hill believes Warriors can look with confidence towards the rest of the campaign.
He said: “We had a disappointing spell in the middle. We started off like a train and played some really good rugby when the weather was good.
“We hit a barrier and dipped, but the last two games we have started to pick up points again.
“I am pleased. We went through a blip and it was annoying that period, Wasps and Exeter away we were disappointed.
“But the effort of the last two games has shown we are back on track and looking forward to Perpignan in Europe now.”
A tense final few minutes in London had seen Quins push for a late score that would have shunted Worcester out of losing bonus point territory.
And Hill was quick to back the decision to get the ball off the field with time up and take the point on offer back to Sixways.
“It was a little ambitious with four seconds on the clock to think we could go 75 metres against Quins and score a blistering try,” he admitted. “You like to think that in your dreams, but the effort the players had put in deserved a point.
“The danger was if you run it, spill it and they then turn over ball and score it will break everyone’s hearts.
“Over these two games we would have taken one win over Saracens and a bonus point down here. We are back on track.”
