Boss Richard Hill admitted his players are already relishing the trip to the south of France and the ‘cauldron’ of the Stade Aime Giral for the return clash with Perpignan.
Worcester moved clear at the top of Pool 2 in the Amlin Challenge Cup with a 22-21 success over the French giants at rain hit Sixways.
And Hill admits he expects Perpignan to throw everything at Warriors next Saturday night in France in the battle for top spot and a place in the last eight.
“A defeat would have left us a massive tall order, now we have a chance,” admitted Hill.
“I am sure Perpignan will throw the kitchen sink at us next week down in the cauldron in Perpignan.
“But the boys will be ready for it and are already looking forward to it. We go into match four of our seven-match spell on track.”
Hill also praised Andy Goode as the fly half overcame illness to score all the points in then cup success.
“Andy wasn’t very well today, but his kicking was superb and he gets us go forward,” he said.
“I didn’t realise he scored that try, it is unlike him to get at the bottom of the ruck like that. But he was at the bottom of the pile and scored that try.
“It was an excellent performance from him and he rewards the hard work the other 14 men put in.”
