Focus is immediately on London Welsh – Hill

Head Coach Richard Hill admitted the focus was immediately on London Welsh after narrow defeat in Europe.

Warriors were edged out 13-6 by Perpignan in the Amlin Challenge Cup to leave the club’s Amlin Challenge Cup bid up in the air.

But Hill insisted there was no time to reflect on European permutations as he looked to the big Aviva Premiership clash with the league newcomers on Friday night at Sixways (kick-off 8.00pm).

“We start preparing right now,” said Hill just minutes after the full-time whistle in the south of France. “We had a chat as a group in the dressing room straight after the game.

“We had mapped out a seven match period and this is match four. We are disappointed, like Harlequins away we just missed out, but we have got three very exciting games to come.

“We start preparing now and we have got a good day in France lined up. We will do the analysis of the Perpignan game before we get on the plane tomorrow (Sunday) and there is a lot of good stuff to look at.

“We will box that off tomorrow and then Monday morning we are in for London Welsh and we are looking forward to it.”
