Drauniniu – Warriors will only get even better

Wing Josh Drauniniu has pledged his future to Worcester Warriors by signing a new deal – and then outlined his long-term hopes for the club.

Pace ace Drauniniu has scored 12 tries in 18 games for Warriors – including a blistering hat-trick against Femi-CZ VEA Rovigo last weekend in Italy.

The flying back is now set to continue leaving tacklers grasping at thin air on the Sixways wide channels after putting pen to paper on new terms.

And the 27-year-old insisted he never wanted to leave a club where he feels the set-up is right for a bright future.

Drauniniu said: “I’m very happy to sign the contract. I love the club and I love the fact that all the facilities we need as players are in the vicinity of the stadium.

“The club is great. We’ve got a promising team this season and I believe we’ll have an even better side next season.

“I didn’t want to go anywhere else,” he added. “I spoke to my agent and told him I was happy and settled here so I never considered moving to another club.

“I like living here. It’s central so if you want to go to London or Cornwall or anywhere else, it’s quick and easy. So I’m very happy being here.

“I’m always keen to play and want to play even more games and get even better. Competition is great between players. When I get picked, I want to show what I can do and I’m very happy playing at the moment.”
