EPDG side secure bonus-point win at Gloucester

Worcester Warriors’ Under 15 EPDG side battled to a bonus-point 22-5 victory over local rivals Gloucester at Stroud Rugby Club last night.

Warriors opened the scoring through winger Harry Robinson before full-back Jacob Ham added a second.

Captain Josh Nott added the third try after which fly-half Ollie Alsop heaped further misery on the home side with the bonus-point score.

Gloucester added a consolation minutes before the final whistle but the glory belonged to Warriors.

Academy Outreach Coach Chim Gale said: “We were missing a lot of players due to the fact that two schools in our catchment area are still in the Daily Mail Cup and were therefore unavailable to play.

“So I was delighted with the result and performance and it sets us up nicely for the rest of the season. Credit must also go to the four Under 14 players who stepped up and did themselves proud.”

Gale’s side face further friendly fixtures against Leicester Tigers and London Irish before they play in two tournaments later this Spring.
