Redman – Players focused on Sixways finale

Nigel Redman insists the Warriors players are focused on putting in a good performance and ending the Sixways season on a high when Harlequins visit on Saturday.

Redman will be part of a coaching team overseeing the final two games of the season and, according to the former England international, Warriors will be doing all they can to pick-up their sixth league win of the season.

He said: “It’s a great game to finish with at Sixways. They are the current Aviva Premiership champions and it will be a good challenge for us.

“Hopefully the sun will come out and there will be a big crowd to watch the game. They will see a Worcester team playing with a lot of intent.”

Redman has also paid tribute to the players’ attitude after a difficult week at Sixways. He added: “We are delighted with the way players have reacted this week.

“They have stayed professional and know that it is important for us to put in a strong performance against Harlequins and get a positive result.

“We’ve had a good week of training. Phil Larder came down and mixed the sessions of attack and defence and looked at the key areas of how we are going to play on Saturday.

“We will go out with a positive mindset and we will believe we can get a victory.”
