Kvesic at the double at End of Season Awards

England back row star Matt Kvesic was a double award winner at the End of Season Dinner at Warriors as the curtain came down on the season with a special black tie event at Sixways on Friday night.

Kvesic, who this week was named in the England squad for the summer tour to Argentina, was rewarded by his peers as he picked up the Players’ Player of the Year Award and he also the top gong on the night – the Player of the Year.

Warrior of the Year – given to the rugby staff member that has through his commitment to the club gained total respect for how he conducts himself on and off the field – was won by James Percival, who has captained the club for most of the season, for the second successive season.

Percival was also a winner in the Community Award section as both he and retiring scrum half Shaun Perry were declared joint winners.

Perry, who also won the award last season, picked up the top prize less than 24 hours after being named Aviva Community Player of the Season at the Premiership Awards in London for his tireless work on a number of community projects.

The Young Player of the Year trophy was taken home by talented back Ben Howard who has this season broke into the first team at Sixways and featured in the final two Aviva Premiership fixtures of the season.
