Worcester Warriors have been handed a glamorous clash with former Amlin Challenge Cup champions Biarritz Olympique PB in this season’s European draw.
Dean Ryan’s men, who were seeded in tier three for the draw in Dublin this afternoon (Wednesday), will face Biarritz Olympique PB, Sale Sharks and Oyonnax in Pool 1.
The clash against Biarritz, five times French champions and winners of the Amlin Challenge Cup in 2012, is sure to create huge interest with Worcester having never faced the French giants before.
Biarritz, who are also twice runners-up in the Heineken Cup, currently boast a squad that contains the likes of Dimitri Yachvili and captain Imanol Harinordoquy.
Warriors also face Sale Sharks and Oyonnax, champions of Pro D2 this season who have then been promoted to the French top-flight.
