New scrum-half set for showdown with Murray

New scrum-half Jeremy Su’a will go head-to-head with Warriors teammate Euan Murray when Samoa face Scotland in Durban tomorrow.

Worcester’s latest signing is one of nine changes to the Samoa side which lost 22-14 in their last international against France in November.

Coach Stephen Betham has retained only stand-off Tusiata Pisi, centre Jonny Leota, number eight Taiasina Tuifua, lock Treviranus, Teofilo Paulo and Toulouse tighthead prop Census Johnston.

Hurricanes duo Jack Lam and Alapati Leiua, who will make their international debuts, are the only new caps in the starting line-up but uncapped North Harbour hooker Maatulimanu Leiataua and Tokyo Gas centre Brando Vaaulu are named on the bench.

Samoa, who will face Scotland in the 2015 Rugby World Cup, have never beaten Scotland having losting seven of their eight meetings and drawing 15-15 at Murrayfield in 1995.

Betham’s side are taking part in a four-team tournament in South Africa and will take on Italy in their second outing in Nelspruit on June 15.

Replacements: Maatulimanu Leiataua, Sakaria Taulafo, James Johnston, Faatiga Lemalu, Junior Poluleuligaga, Brando Vaaulu, Seilala Mapusua, Alafoti Faosiliva.
