Back row Goodhue to make Sixways switch

Back row Cameron Goodhue is to make the move to Worcester Warriors after agreeing a move to Sixways.

Goodhue, who has been part of the Auckland Blues set-up and features for Northland, will move to the Aviva Premiership club next month ahead of the 2013/14 season.

The 26-year-old, who stands 6ft 3in and weighs 110kg, made his Blues debut in Christchurch in 2012 against the Crusaders.

The strong ball carrying back row, who predominantly plays Number Eight, becomes the eighth new forward signing at Warriors during the close season.

The New Zealander joins Mike Williams, Leonardo Senatore, Agustin Creevy, Paul Andrew, Ofa Fainga’anuku, Chris Brooker and Jonathan Thomas in a new-look pack.

‘I am extremely excited about joining the Worcester Warriors,” said Goodhue.

“Playing in the Aviva Premiership has always been an ambition of mine, and I can’t wait to join up with my team-mates in the summer.

“I have heard great things about the passionate fans at Sixways, and it is a great time to be getting involved with the club with Dean Ryan, Carl Hogg and Shane Howarth now at the helm.”
