The Worcester Warriors Community department joined forces with Stourport Rugby Club on Tuesday to welcome nearly 90 children from local primary schools to a tag rugby tournament supported by the Aviva Premiership Rugby Schools Programme.
The Aviva Premiership rugby schools programme sponsors tag rugby coaching in primary schools for Year 3 children. Schools take part in five weeks of coaching and then play in a tournament at their local rugby club.
Nine teams from five schools – Burlish Park, Upper Arley, Astley, St. Bartholomew’s, Bewdley – took part in the tournament at Stourport RFC.
The final was between Burlish Park one and two, with Burlish Park one narrowly winning 3 -2.
