Experienced Jones eager to pass on knowledge

Ceri Jones has vowed to take the ‘huge opportunity’ to pass on his rugby knowledge after being confirmed as Scrum Coach at Warriors.

Jones is currently undergoing long-term rehabilitation for a serious Achilles injury suffered against Saracens last season.

However, he will now also assist Dean Ryan’s new-look coaching team and the former Wales international, who has played 27 games for Warriors,  is determined to make the role a success.

“This is a huge opportunity for me and I’m looking forward to working with Dean (Ryan) and the rest of the coaching team,” said Jones, who previously played over 20o games for former club Harlequins.

“Due to the length of time I will potentially be out of action in rehabilitation and with concerns over my playing future, I needed to look at my long-term career path and I am excited to be able to now work in coaching.

“I’m delighted to have the chance to impart some of the knowledge I have gained over the years on the team and will working hard to ensure Warriors have the best possible set piece and platform to work from this coming season.”
