Warriors Juniors in team-building fun

Worcester Warriors and Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue joined forces last week to provide members of the Worcester Warriors Junior Residential with a morning of team building exercises.

The 50 members of the camp were taking part in the first morning of the Junior Residential at Malvern College.

The morning had been put together by Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue to take players out of their comfort zone whilst improving their communication skills.

Residential leader Tim Pickard said: “It is important for the boys to get to know each other quickly.

“They are going to be in the same coaching groups for the next few days and will need to work together to get the most out of their time with us.”

The boys had two hours of team building which consisted of dam-building, communication tasks, tower-building and blindfolded leadership skills.

It finished with a staff versus players tug-of-war competition which the coaches lost.

Spokeswoman Tamara Taylor said: “It was a nice way to finish the morning off, all of the boys worked hard and it has broken barriers and already created friendship groups.”

A big thank you goes goes out to the staff from Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue for giving up their time to work with the group.
