Drauniniu eager to make his mark in France

Josh Drauniniu admits he is eager to make his mark when Warriors face Biarritz Olympique in the Amlin Challenge Cup tonight (kick-off 7.45pm GMT).

The wing is making his first start for the club since last month’s victory over Cardiff Blues and says he can’t wait to take to the field.

He said: “I’ve been looking forward to this match and I can’t wait to get the ball in hand, make some runs and put some hits in.”

Warriors were left heartbroken last Thursday after Biarritz stole victory in the final minute at Sixways.

And, according to the wing, his side will need to raise their game against the 2012 Amlin Challenge Cup champions.

He continued: “It will be a tough task in France as Biarritz are strong and can play from anywhere.

“They will add a few internationals to their side and will be a tough prospect at home. But we’ll try and play our game and hopefully get a positive result.”

Drauniniu was ruled out of action earlier this season and admits he will be doing all he can to impress Director of Rugby Dean Ryan at Parc des Sports Aguilera.

He added: “I've been injured recently so now I just want to get out there and show what I can do.

“I’ve been working hard in training and I will continue to do that. We have some good wingers at this club and it is fantastic to have competition for places.”
