Cavaliers set for Navy visit

Worcester Cavaliers are set to welcome The Navy to Sixways on Wednesday evening (kick-off 7.30pm).

The second-string side have won their last five matches including victories over Newcastle Falcons, Oxford University, Bristol United (twice) and The Army.

Academy Manager Mark Hewitt has confirmed he will field a young Worcester Cavaliers side to take on The Navy  and the man in charge believes they can extend their winning run.

He said: “We will field a young team against The Navy which will reflect the academy set-up next year.

“It will be great experience for them to play against a physical side and there is no reason they can’t go and pick up another win.”

Youngsters like Jon Hughes, Sam Smith and Andrew Kitchener are set to feature for the Cavaliers but Huw Taylor will miss out as he is away on international duty with England Under 18s in Portugal.
