Cosgrove features in Junior World Championship opener

Warriors Academy prop Jack Cosgrove started for Scotland Under 20s in their IRB Junior World Championship opener with South Africa in New Zealand earlier today.

The 19-year-old played 57 minutes for his country, who were beaten 61-5 by a powerful South Africa side at the QBE Stadium in Auckland.

The loosehead, who was one of seven Warriors Academy players to make their first-team debuts last season, could be in line for another start for Scotland when they face Samoa on Thursday at the ECOLight Stadium, Pukekohe.

Cosgrove was on loan at Doncaster Knights in National League One during the 2013/14 season and also featured regularly for Worcester Cavaliers.
