Warriors Academy youngster Jack Cosgrove couldn’t help prevent Scotland Under 20s from defeat against Samoa in the IRB Junior World Championship earlier today.
The loosehead came on as a second-half substitute when Samoa were 24-8 ahead, and although Scotland fought back, they went down 27-18 to the Pacific Islanders in Pukekohe, New Zealand.
The fixture was Scotland's second match in a tough pool where they have already lost 61-5 to South Africa, and they have another testing fixture next up against hosts New Zealand on June 10.
And Cosgrove will be looking to return to the starting line-up for the clash with the All Blacks next Tuesday in Scotland's final pool game.
The 19-year-old made his Warriors debut last season in the LV= Cup at Sale Sharks and was a regular for Worcester Cavaliers during the 2013/14 campaign.
