World Cup returns to Sixways this Saturday

The Women’s Rugby World Cup will be returning to Sixways this Saturday where supporters will have the chance to have their photo taken with members of the England World Cup-winning squad and the trophy.

The trophy is on its 10,000-mile tour round the country as England Rugby looks to increase the number of women participating in the sport by 10,000 before the year 2017. Click here for more details.

This Saturday is set to be an action-crammed afternoon of rugby with Warriors taking on Moseley in their first home match of the Greene King IPA Championship campaign, which will be followed by Worcester Ladies against Lichfield Ladies in the first game of the Women’s Premiership season.

The action all kicks off at 3pm and don’t miss the England Ladies parading the trophy before kick-off, which includes nine of the World Cup winning squad.

We’ve also got the Kids Zone open for the youngsters where they can have their face painted or take part in an exciting obstacle course competition! And if any junior warriors haven’t collected their membership packs they can still do so.

Make sure you check out our new-look ‘Warrior’ programme which features ‘Words with a Warrior’ with new captain GJ van Velze, we go In the Dressing Room with Dan Sanderson and ask your questions to Matt Cox.

Look out for our half-time entertainment with the Golden Boot Challenge, where three contestants will attempt to kick eight balls over the posts in record time.

There will also be a host of ales available from round the ground throughout and after the Warriors match you can enjoy live music from the band Time of the Mouth in the Warriors Coliseum.

PARKING DETAILS: There will be no on-site parking without a valid car parking pass on Saturday and we have sold out of our allocation. As such, the park-and-ride (click here for timetable) and park-and-walk (click here for map) should be used.
