Birthday boy Eden looking to kick-on in B&I Cup

Tiff Eden admits he is looking to help his side claim back-to-back B&I Cup victories when Munster A visit Sixways on Saturday.

The fly-half, who is celebrating his 20th birthday on Thursday the 16th, was instrumental during last Sunday’s trip to Nottingham as he landed 16 points from the boot to help Warriors come from behind to claim victory.

And with his side set to welcome the 2012 winners, Eden admits he and his teammates must be at the top of their game if they are to triumph.

He said: “Munster A have shown that they have pedigree in this competition and it is something they take very seriously.

“We know how big a test it will be for us on Saturday but we’re focused on doing the rights things and getting a positive result.

“I really enjoyed the game last weekend so I’ll be hoping to build on that and keep developing in this competition.”

Munster A saw-off Warriors’ West Midlands rivals Moseley last weekend, meaning whoever claims victory on Saturday will take pole position in Pool 3 of the competition.

And, according to Eden, it is another opportunity for some of the club’s young guns to show what they can do.

He continued: “The coaches have been pretty clear from the start that they will use this competition to blood some of the younger players in the squad.

“That means we’ve all got a fantastic opportunity to put a marker down and try to stake a claim for a place in the team for Championship matches.”

And with four senior appearances under his belt, Eden admits he is hungry to help Warriors eventually achieve the success they crave.

He added: “This is a great place to be so I’m going to keep working hard and hopefully I can be part of a very successful side in the future.”
