This year will be the fifth annual Charity Match Day to raise money for Acorns Children’s Hospice and Warriors, who are official partners of the charity, are aiming to raise £10,000 for Acorns and its vital work caring for life-limited and life-threatened children and young people and their families.

Warriors will take to the field on Valentine’s Day wearing a special limited-edition pink matchday shirt designed by children at the hospice which are now available to pre-order online at warriors.co.uk.

Warriors’ player Ambassador for Acorns Sam Betty said: “My teammates and I regularly visit Acorns for the Three Counties and have seen first-hand the work that the charity does, so it’s a pleasure to be able to help support that.

“2015 is a big year for Warriors and Acorns so hopefully we can continue to pull together and make it a year to remember.”

Louise Arnold, head of social responsibility development at Acorns, said: “It’s fantastic that the club has chosen to host a fifth Charity Matchday and we’re very much looking forward to the players taking to the pitch in their limited edition matchday shirts, designed by children at the hospice.

“We have developed a strong partnership with Warriors and are delighted that as we reach a significant milestone in Worcester that the staff, players and fans at Worcester Warriors continue to give us their support.

“It’s thanks to the generosity of organisations such as Warriors that the hospice has been able to mark this anniversary because we rely on the support of the local community to fund the majority of the more than £8 million per year that it costs us to continue our vital work.”

Tickets for the match start from £17 for adults and £8 for juniors. To book your seat at the match please call the Warriors Box Office on 01905 459309.

Acorns tickets for the Matchday cost £25 and will include use of the Charity Lounge and a complementary meal. Limited-edition Matchday shirts designed by children at the hospice will be available to purchase from the Sixways store, with all money from sales donated to Acorns.

The tickets are being sold on a first-come, first-served basis and are available by emailing corporatefun@acorns.org.uk or calling 01564 825000.
