Experience of a lifetime

Over 100 children had the experience of a lifetime on Saturday at Worcester Warriors’ inaugural Tag Festival.

Local community rugby clubs brought their Under 7s to Sixways where they got to meet clubs from across the region including ones they had never played before.

Some of the Warriors players also visited the youngsters at Cummins Farm to congratulate the children on their performances, present the children with certificates and to pose for photographs.

Then to cap the day off, all the youngsters and their families were invited to Sixways Stadium to witness an exciting Greene King IPA Championship match between Warriors and Yorkshire Carnegie.

The day, ran by the Warriors Community Department, saw 25 teams participate.

They were split into five groups of five with the event being run as a festival – in which all the players received certificates.

The next Tag Festival will take place on Saturday 25 April where 26 Under 8 teams have confirmed their entry.

And following the fun, all participants will be able to enjoy the top-of-the-table clash between Warriors and Bristol.
