Lamb set for first Warriors start since play-off heroics

Warriors’ Championship play-off hero Ryan Lamb is set for his first appearance since kicking his side back into the Aviva Premiership in May.

The fly-half is named in a team containing six debutants as Warriors go head-to-head with last season’s Aviva Premiership champions Saracens at Bramley Road on Saturday (kick-off 1pm).

Academy players Andrew Kitchener, Josh Adams, Gareth Milasinovich, Sam Ripper-Smith and Zac Xiourouppa will all make their first appearances in the blue and gold, while Ben Davies-Moore and Max Hill, who are both part of the Club’s AASE Programme also line-up for the side.

An exciting back-line sees Ben Howard included at full-back, with Sam Smith and Adams on the wings.
Max Stelling partners Ravai Fatiaki in midfield, while Luke Baldwin makes his second appearance at scrum-half.

Ryan Bower and Ben Sowrey are named in the front row, while Andrew Kitchener completes the forward pack alongside the debutants.

Jack Singleton, Derrick Appiah, Matt Perks, Josh Nott, Robbie Smith and Jonas Mikallcius could all make their Club debuts off the bench as Warriors go in search of victory in the capital.
