Warriors have named a strong side to face Northampton Saints in Friday’s behind-closed-doors pre-season encounter at Franklin’s Gardens.
Summer signing Donncha O’Callaghan will make his Warriors debut in a new-look second row partnership with Darren Barry.
Director of Rugby Dean Ryan will also give first starts of the season to Jonny Arr and Perry Humphreys, who are named in a strong backline.
Chris Pennell and Tom Biggs complete the back three with Humphreys, while Wynand Olivier partners Ryan Mills in midfield.
Tom Heathcote makes his third appearance of pre-season as Warriors and Northampton warm-up for next Friday’s Aviva Premiership opener.
Niall Annett is named at hooker between props Val Rapava Ruskin and Nick Schonert – the same front row which lined-up against Wasps last month – while an experienced back row sees GJ van Velze and Phil Dowson line-up against their former club alongside Sam Lewis.
