Aviva Premiership Stats – Round 8

The latest Aviva Premiership stats have been released and a number of Warriors are standing out…

This week's star performer was Tevita Cavubati, as the massive Fijian carried the ball 12 times, making 52 metres as he beat three defenders and made two breaks against Harlequins!

Chris Pennell tops this week's metres made list after racking up 136 metres and making 12 carries while Wynand Olivier and Bryce Heem were also among the top runners.

Cooper Vuna, like teammate Cavubati, also beat three defenders and made two breaks along with super centre Ryan Mills, who was forced into playing at fly-half for most of Sunday's game as he made nine carries beating three defenders.

Meanwhile, in the overall stats this season, Phil Dowson continues to demonstrate his fantastic work ethic, topping the tackling pile with 88, and he is also among the top carriers in the league with 70.

Mills is sat just three tackles behind Dowson at the top of charts while the talented back is also among the top attackers with 14 defenders beaten and six offloads to his name. 

Pennell sits third overall in the metres made category with a whopping 620, with just Sale's Mike Haley and Leicester's Telusa Veainu ahead of him. The Warriors full-back has also made 88 carries.

New boy Heem has made an impressive start to his Sixways career, already breaking into the metres made chart after just five appearances, having accumulated 349 metres and beating 15 defenders.

And fellow winger Vuna has also demonstrated his attacking prowess with 331 metres made, beating 16 defenders along with his ten breaks and seven offloads!
