Warriors Under 18s will take on Northampton Saints Under 18s at Tresham College in Kettering this Saturday, in a must-win Aviva Premiership Under 18 Academy League clash (kick-off 1pm).
Mark Hewitt’s side sit in fifth position in the table, but are just a single point behind rivals Northampton who occupy second place, meaning a win in Saturday’s encounter could see them rocket up the standings.
Three Pears Academy starlets James Page and Jamie Shillcock start for Warriors with Bromsgrove School student Tom Ford captaining the side.
The youngsters started the season strongly with wins over Yorkshire Carnegie and Leicester Tigers but have since slipped to defeats against Gloucester Rugby and Sale Sharks.
Three Pears Academy Manager Hewitt said: “The lads are disappointed after last weekend at Sale and are eager to put things right this Saturday.
“We’ve played some good rugby this season and we need to get our basics right this weekend at Saints and hopefully we’ll come away with a win and put ourselves in contention for Finals Day.”
