Rapava Ruskin – We’re ready for Bath

Monster prop Val Rapava Ruskin admits Warriors are ready for the test of Bath Rugby this afternoon as they look to turn their Aviva Premiership fortunes around at Sixways (kick-off 3pm).

Last weekend saw both sides slip to defeat, meaning both will be itching to return to winning ways this weekend.

And Rapava Ruskin insists he and his teammates are geared up for the massive clash against last season’s Aviva Premiership finalists.

He said: “What’s happened has happened but we have to move on from last week and the defeat has brought us closer together.

“We’ve trained hard once again this week and we're ready for Bath. We have to step up and come together as a side.

“The knowledge, quality and experience is there, we just need to transfer it to the field on matchday.”

This weekend will see Warriors up against a number of internationally-capped players and Rapava Ruskin is looking forward to his big test.

He admitted: “It’ll be a great battle. Both squads want to prove a point after disappointing results.

“It’s always a great experience coming up against top-class players. That’s why we’re here at Worcester and this is what it’s all about – coming and testing yourself against the best in the country so I’m looking forward to it.”

As Warriors look to return to winning ways, their Georgian prop insists the players want to get the result for each other and ultimately, the supporters.

He added: “We want to show our desire and passion. We haven’t come here to just come close and push teams every week, we’ve come here to win.

“We want to advance in every aspect of the game and all of the boys will have to play their part this Saturday.

“We want to win it for each other and most importantly the fans.”
