TEAM NEWS: U18s name side for Finals Day

Mark Hewitt has named a strong Warriors Under 18 side for their first-ever Aviva Under 18 Academy Finals Day today at Saracens’ Allianz Park.

The youngsters take on Exeter Chiefs (kick-off 2.30pm) in the fifth-place play-off game, after both sides finished third in their respective conferences.

The Warriors side includes Three Pears Academy youngsters Jamie Shillcock and James Page in their ranks, while Bromsgrove School’s Tom Ford leads the team as they look to continue their fine form after winning four from six in the Northern Conference.

Hewitt said: “I’m really pleased for the group that they’ve made it to Finals Day, which is a first for the Club.

“It’s also the first time we’ll have faced Exeter at this level so we’re looking forward to the test and hoping we can come out with the victory to finish the campaign on a high.”
