Warriors compete for title of Stadium Experience Chef Team of the Year

Warriors will go head-to-head with Chefs from some of the biggest Football and Rugby Clubs across the country to be crowned the Stadium Experience Chef Team of the Year 2016 this June.

Following the Club’s entry into the competition at Hotelympia (ExCel London), Warriors Chefs visited the capital on Wednesday to present judges with a three-course meal fit for the CEO of the RFU.

Executive Chef Lawson Shuttleworth headed-up the two-man team with colleague Chris O’Neal as nine Football and Rugby Stadiums, including Liverpool FC, Newcastle United FC and Everton FC went head-to-head for the award in a live cook-off.

Teams showcased their culinary skills to create a memorable, imaginative and tasty well-presented meal which will deliver an overall superb impression of the club based around the dining experience.

Lawson and Chris prepared a starter of Herefordshire ox cheek served on pickled red cabbage and a root vegetable puree and veal jus.

The main course was a mouth-watering wasabi pea encrusted yellowfin tuna with vegetable ribbons, langoustine tortellini and chilli, lime and coriander butter, while the dessert comprised a trio of apple, soufflé and sorbet.

Warriors General Manager Ryan Bezuidenhout said: “It was great for the team to have the opportunity to compete at the show and it allowed them to showcase the level of culinary skills regularly seen at Sixways.”
