Warriors open 2016/17 campaign in London Double Header

Warriors will open their 2016/17 Aviva Premiership campaign with a trip to Twickenham for a mouth-watering clash against Saracens in the London Double Header.

It will be the second season Warriors have been selected to play in the London Double Header after the Sixways side came up against the same opponents at the home of English rugby in November last year.

Warriors will then begin their Sixways campaign on Friday 9 September in an early-season Derby Day as local rivals Gloucester Rugby travel up the M5.

A trip to Bath Rugby follows before Warriors host Sale Sharks on Saturday 24 September and Newcastle Falcons on Sunday 2 October.

Carl Hogg will take his side to Leicester Tigers one week later as the first block of Premiership fixtures come to an end.

The European action gets underway in mid-October before Warriors travel to Harlequins at the end of the month.

Warriors face a tricky home clash with Northampton Saints on Friday 18 November ahead of a trip to Exeter Chiefs on the final weekend of November.

The first weekend of December serves-up a second West Midlands derby at Sixways as Wasps make the short journey from Coventry before Warriors renew their rivalry with Bristol Rugby at Ashton Gate over the Christmas period.

And Warriors will complete their festive fixtures by hosting Harlequins before a trip to Gloucester in early January.

After another break from domestic action, Sixways will host back-to-back matches as Premiership rugby returns with the visits of last season’s Premiership champions Saracens and finalists Exeter in February.

A trip to Franklin’s Gardens to face Northampton ensues on the final weekend of February before Warriors host Bristol on Saturday 4 March.

Away encounters with Wasps and Sale follow ahead of a tasty Easter clash at Sixways with Bath on Saturday 15 April.

Warriors’ penultimate game sees a trip to Kingston Park to face Newcastle on Friday 28 April before Hogg’s boys look to finish the season in style with the visit of Leicester Tigers on Saturday 6 May.

With just over eight weeks to go before the start of the season, the excitement is already starting to build.

And you can make sure you are here to see every game at Sixways by signing-up for a 2016/17 Season Ticket.

Adult Season Tickets start from just £275, while Under 12s can get theirs for FREE.
