2016/17 Aviva Premiership season | Sixways information

We’re all set for another exciting season of rugby at Sixways as we open our home campaign against Gloucester Rugby this Friday (kick-off 7.45pm).

There has been a lot going on at Sixways over the summer. Please take note of the below information ahead of your trip to Sixways.

MATCHDAY TRAVEL AND PARKING
Buses to Sixways are available from County Hall, Blackpole, Three Pears, Worcester city centre, Great Malvern, Droitwich and Bromsgrove. Bus travel for Season Ticket Holders will be offered at a subsidised rate of 50 per cent off. To view the bus timetables for the 2016/17 season please click here. Please note the bus timetable varies depending on the day and competition of the fixture.

Parking Request

We would also like to remind all supporters travelling to Sixways to only park in designated and authorised parking areas to ensure a safe and enjoyable day. Last season some supporters parked on verges on and around Pershore Lane. This creates a dangerous risk to the safety and wellbeing of spectators before and after matches. These verges are controlled by Wychavon District Council and cars which park in these areas will be issued with fixed penalty fines.

MATCHDAY FOOD AND DRINK
Our Scrum Club has been given a makeover this summer so visit it on matchday and check out our food and drink offerings for the 2016/17 campaign. We have also introduced Cotswold Crepes, Proper Cornish Pies and Prime Ministry Meats. Look out for these new outlets around the ground.

We have also introduced reusable cups into the stadium bars as we look to lower our carbon footprint. Supporters will be charged a £1 cup deposit for their first drink.

Every subsequent drink will be poured into a clean reusable cup on return of the cup from the previous drink. Reusable cups can be kept as a souvenir or returned to a cup refund point in exchange for the deposit.

This development will mean 250,000 fewer disposable cups are thrown into landfill, where it takes hundreds of years for them to biodegrade.

ARTIFICIAL GRASS PITCH

The Warriors will take to the new Sixways Artificial Grass Pitch for the first time under the Friday night lights, which offers players a consistently high-quality surface through all weather conditions.

We would like to invite all Juniors to play on the pitch after the match on Friday night. Simply make your way to the gate outside the Clubhouse Bar next to the Clubhouse Standing Area. Junior Warriors Ambassador Donncha O'Callaghan will be leading out some of the Warriors after the match to meet and sign your merchandise.

Please note no food or drink can be taken onto the stadium pitch.

STADIUMTV | STATZONE SYSTEM

Thirty-three new screens have been installed throughout the concourse, supporters' bars and hospitality areas, which will significantly enhance supporters' matchday experience at Sixways.

The StadiumTV platform will broadcast pre and post-match live sport and incorporate a built-in social media facility, while allowing full interaction and encouraging early arrival for fans to enjoy the pre-match build-up.
