Acorns continues as Warriors’ Charity Partner

Acorns Children’s Hospice will continue as Warriors’ Charity Partner for the 2016/17 season.

The relationship has developed over a number of seasons and peaked during the 2015/16 season when over £25,000 was raised by the Club’s partners and fans.

This season will be no different as Warriors’ Main Club Sponsor, Greene King IPA, has agreed that the Acorns logo can be placed on the front of all children’s replica shirts – giving the charity an increased brand presence throughout the Midlands.

Director of Income Generation for Acorns Louise Arnold said: “We are delighted to feature on the front of the Warriors children’s shirts.

“The relationship between Warriors and Acorns continues to go from strength to strength and this gesture underlines the Club’s commitment to supporting us as Charity Partner.

“We’re really excited about the 2016/17 season and we are looking forward to some fantastic fundraising events.

“We rely on the community to help fund our work so the Warriors partnership is one we’re extremely grateful for.”

Warriors player and Acorns Ambassador Sam Betty added: “Acorns is part of the fabric of the Club.

“The squad and staff are aware of the excellent work the charity carries out within the area and are proud to assist with fundraising efforts.

“Last year was a record year so we would be delighted if we can top that this season.”

This season’s Acorns Charity Matchday will take place on Sunday 1 January 2017 when Warriors come up against Harlequins at Sixways.
