Warriors AASE 7s set to battle it out at Sixways Finals

The Warriors AASE side will be in action when Sixways hosts the AASE 7s Finals on Wednesday 15 March.

Warriors AASE will take on Gosforth, Exeter and Ivybridge in Pool B of the Cup competition after securing their place at the Finals earlier this week.

On Tuesday, Ryan Watkins’ young side defeated Myerscough and Gosforth at Loughborough University after playing some impressive rugby.

At the Finals, the winner of Pool B will go head-to-head with the winner of Pool A, which contains Oaklands, Bishop Burton, St Pauls and SGS Filton, to be crowned Cup champions.

Warriors AASE Manager Ryan Watkins said: “The boys are really excited about playing at Sixways at the AASE Finals.

“We played some really good rugby on Tuesday and could have won the Northern Conference final on another day.

“Sevens is such a good way to develop young players as it's a real test of skill and athleticism so we’re all looking forward to next week’s challenge.”

Meanwhile Wyggeston, Hartpury, Henley (Pool A), Myerscough, Beechen Cliff and Truro (Pool B) have also qualified for the Finals and will compete in the Bowl competition.

The Sixways action gets underway at 1pm, with Warriors AASE’s first game starting at 1.22pm on the main stadium pitch.

Gates to the stadium open at midday and entry to the Finals is free. Free parking will also be available at Sixways.
