Sixways to host 31-hour Guinness World Record rugby attempt

Sixways is set to host 31 hours of non-stop rugby this weekend as The Fire Fighters Charity and Scotty’s Little Soldiers go head-to-head in a Guinness World Record attempt.

At 8am this Friday 12 May, the two teams will kick-off, and they won’t stop until the final whistle at 3pm on Saturday 13 May – as 46 players take on the ultimate rugby challenge in aid of charity.

All funds raised will go towards supporting children of fallen heroes and the Fire Service family.

Entry on the gate at Sixways is available with a donation to the charities while seating for spectators is available in the West Stand only.

On the Friday the Clubhouse Bar will be open from midday till 6pm serving drinks and snacks before gates close at 10pm.

The two teams will continue to play straight through the night and fans will be able to enter the ground once again on Saturday at 8am.

Saturday will also play host to a Family Fun Day including fire engines, army vehicles, facepainting, a bouncy castle and more in the LeeSan (North) Stand Kids Zone, which will be open to the public from 10am-3pm.

The Clubhouse Bar will also be open from 10am-3pm on Saturday, while a concession stand for food will be open in the North West corner.

Following the event there will be an adult-only ticketed Quanta charity evening at Sixways.

In the £20 price, fans will be able to enjoy live music, a finger buffet, guest speaker and charity auction.
