Wooden Spoon will be hosting a Dinner with Wayne Barnes at Sixways later this summer.
Barnes will be discussing his career as a rugby referee, some of the biggest matches he’s taken charge of and his life away from the sport, as well as sharing a whole host of stories during the black tie event, which will take place on Thursday 29 June.
Barnes has enjoyed an illustrious career at the top of the sport since becoming the youngest ever referee to be selected for the Panel of National Referees at the age of 21.
He has refereed nearly 200 Premiership matches and has taken charge of matches in the European Champions Cup, Six Nations and Rugby World Cup.
The three-course dinner, which starts at 7pm, costs £50 per person or £45 for Wooden Spoon members and places can be booked by emailing john.gibson@firmingers.com.
