Will Butler will start at centre for England Under 20s in their World Rugby Under 20 Championship clash with Australia on Thursday (kick-off 5.30pm BST), while Justin Clegg has been named on the bench.
England will be hoping to make it three wins from three in Pool A of the competition as they aim to reach the last four in Georgia.
England are top of the overall standings after victories over Samoa and Wales in the opening two rounds.
England Head Coach Ian Vass said: “Our aim is to win the game and if we do that we’re in the semi-final.
“Australia are tactically astute so we need to be on our toes as a team and react as well as adapt to whatever they are doing. ”
Meanwhile Tom Dodd starts at number eight for Scotland as they face Italy in their final Pool B match of the campaign on Thursday (kick-off 10am BST).
Scotland must win to have a chance of reaching the knockout stages of the competition after a win over Ireland and a defeat against New Zealand in their first two games.
Dodd is the only change to the Scotland side who beat Ireland and Head Coach John Dalziel said: “Tomorrow’s game is a huge opportunity for this group to win two pool stage games for the second year in a row.”
