Warriors face two trips to France in European Challenge Cup

Warriors have been drawn alongside Brive, Connacht Rugby and Oyonnax in Pool 5 of the 2017/18 European Challenge Cup.

Gary Gold’s men will be looking for revenge against Brive after suffering double defeat to the side in last season’s pool stages.

The Warriors players could also find themselves lining up against former teammates James Johnston and Na'ama Leleimalefaga, who both moved to the French side this summer.

Connacht Rugby will also provide Warriors with stiff competition after dropping down into the Challenge Cup.

The Irish side finished eighth in the Guinness PRO12 last season but won their domestic competition in 2016.

Warriors will also come up against an Oyonnax side which was last drawn in Warriors' pool during the 2013/14 season.

The sides battled out a 9-9 draw in France before Warriors claimed a 20-13 victory at Sixways. Oyonnax are back in the competition after winning France’s second tier Pro D2 title last season.
