Warriors and Valkyries players set for international action

Six Nations matches get underway this weekend

A string of Warriors and Valkyries players will be in international action this weekend on one of the biggest sporting stages of all.

England get their NatWest 6 Nations campaign underway on Sunday when they travel to Rome to face Italy (kick-off 3pm GMT) and Ben Te’o has been handed a starting place at centre.

Elsewhere in the competition, Warriors Academy graduate Josh Adams will make his Wales debut on the wing at the Principality Stadium on Saturday when his country take on Scotland (kick-off 2.15pm).

In the Women’s Six Nations, Valkyries’ Lark Davies will start at hooker as England begin their tournament on Sunday against Italy (kick-off 5.30pm GMT).

Former Warriors Community Coach Tamara Taylor will also line-up for England as she prepares to win her 112th cap.

Valkyries’ Hannah Bluck will make her Wales debut on Friday after being named in the starting line-up for their match against Scotland in Colwyn Bay (kick-off 6pm).

Meanwhile Warriors Academy trio Will Butler, James Scott and Joe Morris have been named in the England Under 20s matchday squad for their opening Six Nations clash against Italy on Friday night.

Butler and Scott will both start, with the latter set to make his England debut, while Morris has been named on the bench as last season’s Grand Slam winners look to open their campaign with victory in Gorizia (kick-off 6pm GMT).

Former Warriors Director of Rugby Gary Gold will begin his USA Head Coach tenure this weekend as the Eagles take on Argentina XV in the Americas Rugby Championship.

Reigning champions USA will be looking to get their campaign off to a solid start and Gold has named Joe Taufete’e in his starting line-up and Andrew Durutalo on the bench.

The match, which will be played at the StubHub Center in California, gets underway at 1am on Sunday morning GMT.
