Adams to start against England at Twickenham

Warriors winger to take on England

Warriors winger Josh Adams has been selected to start for Wales against England at Twickenham in Saturday’s NatWest 6 Nations clash (kick-off 4.45pm).

Adams could well come up against Warriors teammate Ben Te’o as the Anglo-Welsh rivalry continues this weekend.

The Warriors full-back has been in fantastic form for Club this season with 13 tries in 17 appearances and also picked up the Premiership’s December Player of the Month award.

He impressed on debut last weekend as Wales beat Scotland 34-7 at the Principality Stadium and will get the opportunity once again on the big stage as the current two top sides of the 6 Nations go head-to-head.

Wales Head Coach Warren Gatland said: “It’s great to name an unchanged starting 15, the players deserve that for a very good performance on the opening weekend.

“We have made one change on the bench, with George North coming in for Owen (Watkin), which is tough on Owen but Josh (Adams) picked up a slight hip strain last weekend so George provides us with a bit more cover there.

“We know how tough it is going to be against that huge English forward pack. They are really going to test us. England have been in great form the last couple of years so we know the challenge we face but we have had a good couple of weeks in camp and we are looking forward to going up to Twickenham.”
