International Round-Up

Nine Warriors and Valkyries feature for countries

In a wonderful weekend for Warriors after their ground-breaking win over Exeter Chiefs, there was also good news elsewhere as a number of players were involved in international duties for their respective countries.

Ben Te’o and Josh Adams went head-to-head as England battled Wales in the NatWest 6 Nations but it was Te’o who finished with the bragging rights following a tense 12-6 England win at Twickenham.

Winger Adams impressed once again on his second appearance as he played the full 80 minutes while Te’o came off the bench in the 68th minute to help England to victory.

David Denton played his first Test for Scotland since June 2016 as he came off the bench in the 65th minute to help them defeat France 32-26 at Murrayfield on Sunday.

Elsewhere, Joe Taufete’e started for USA Eagles and fellow Warrior Andrew Durutalo came off the bench to help Gary Gold’s side defeat Canada 29-10 in Sacramento, California on Saturday in the Americas Rugby Championship.

In the Under 20 Six Nations, Warriors Academy duo Ted Hill and James Scott featured from the bench as England defeated Wales 37-12 at Kingston Park on Friday night.

And Valkyries pair Lark Davies and Hannah Bluck came up against one another as England Women and Wales Women fought at Twickenham Stoop on Saturday, but it was the hosts who enjoyed a comprehensive 52-0 win.
