Warriors Director of Rugby Alan Solomons spoke to the media on Tuesday afternoon and here’s what he had to say:
Sale Sharks
Sale Sharks have an extremely good record at home so we are expecting a very tough game at the weekend. They are solid all-round and have a number of X Factor players.
Players
The players are in a positive place. They needed a break after the last block of games and, after some time off, they have a real buzz ahead of Saturday’s game.
Coaches
We are very happy with our coaching set-up for next season and we won’t be looking to have any specialist coaches.
Jonny Arr
Jonny is Worcester through and through and to be one game away from 200 appearances for the Club is a remarkable achievement. He is a fantastic club man and a fantastic bloke.
Ben Te’o
Ben is back at Sixways after the NatWest 6 Nations. He hasn’t played as much rugby as some other players this season due to his injury before Christmas so he is fresh and he is a key player for us.
Injury news
Francois Hougaard and Sam Lewis are recovering from injury and we will assess them ahead of our game with Sale Sharks to see if they are fit.
Ryan Mills has suffered a high ankle sprain and it is very unlikely that he will play again this season.
Luke Baldwin has progressed well and, although he won’t play again in this campaign, we hope to see him fit for pre-season training.
