Warriors drawn in Pool 2 of the European Challenge Cup

Warriors face Pau, Ospreys and Stade Francais in Europe

Warriors will face Pau, Ospreys and Stade Francais in Pool 2 of the 2018/19 European Challenge Cup – and supporters can look forward to some mouth-watering clashes in a competitive-looking pool.

Stade Francais have huge pedigree in the competition, having beaten Gloucester Rugby to lift the trophy in 2017 before reaching the quarter-final last season, where they lost to Pau.

Pau won all six of their pool games in the Challenge Cup last time out before eventually being knocked-out by Cardiff Blues in the semi-finals.

The French side were also in fine form in the Top 14 and only just missed out on a place in the Heineken Champions Cup after winning 15 of their 26 games to finish eighth.

Ospreys, who won two of their six games in the Champions Cup last season, will also provide Warriors with stern opposition after they finished fifth in the Pro 14 Conference A table.

European Challenge Cup matches will be played in October, December and January, with fixture dates set to be confirmed later this summer.

Alan Solomons’ men will be looking to build on their Challenge Cup performance of last season, where they finished third in Pool 5 after two wins from their six matches.
