Centre Megan Varley, one of two Valkyries newcomers in the England Women’s Under-20 squad, will start in the Tyrrells Premier 15s match at leaders Loughborough Lightning on Saturday (kick-off 12.00pm).
Varley and full-back Carys Cox are among the newcomers in the squad named by England Under-20s Head Coach Jo Yapp for the match against the Army and home and away internationals against France in the New Year.
Two more Valkyries players, the already-capped prop Akina Gondwe and back-row forward Cara Brincat, are also in the England Under-20s squad.
Gondwe and Brincat will also start for Valkyries at Loughborough with Brincat switching to the second row and Zoe Bennion coming into a re-jigged back row at number eight.
The other change to the side that was beaten by Bristol Bears at Sixways last Saturday is at full-back where Josie Symonds starts in place of Vicky Laflin.
