Warriors set for Exeter Chiefs test

Chris Pennell celebrates his Testimonial Game this weekend as Warriors return to Sixways in the Gallagher Premiership.

Exeter Chiefs will be the visitors on Saturday 9 March (kick-off 3.00pm) as the table-toppers come to town for the first time this season.

Pennell is set to overtake Craig Gillies’ Club record of 149 Premiership appearances and is also aiming to reach the 400-point career milestone for the Club. Pennell currently has 399 points, made up of 39 tries, 30 conversions, and 48 penalties.

Warriors have a strong home record this season and have won four out of five at home in 2019 including dramatic last-gasp victories against Bath, Stade Francais and Leicester.

Meanwhile Exeter have won 12 out of 15 league games this season but Alan Solomons’ men were victorious in Exeter’s most recent visit to Sixways with a 31-21 win in last season’s Anglo-Welsh Cup.
