Warriors quartet in running for Gallagher Premiership Player of the Month Award

Warriors have four players in the running for the Gallagher Premiership Rugby Player of the Month Award for April.

Impressive home wins over Sale Sharks and Gloucester during the month not only helped Warriors secure Premiership status but propelled Josh Adams, Francois Hougaard, Sam Lewis and Duncan Weir into the 12-man shortlist for the Player of the Month Award.

Wales wing Adams scored a hat-trick of tries against Sale, scrum-half Hougaard produced a brilliant defensive display against Gloucester, openside flanker Lewis tackled his heart out in both matches and Weir pulled the strings at fly-half as well as contributing 17 points to the Gloucester victory.

Fans have until 5pm on Friday May 3 to cast their vote to help decide April’s winner.

The usual panel of nine judges remain – Nick Mullins (BT Sport), Alastair Eykyn (BT Sport), Mick Cleary (The Daily Telegraph), Sarah Mockford (Rugby World), Jonny Fordham (The Sun), Robert Kitson (The Guardian), Chris Jones (BBC 5 Live), David Rogers (Getty Images) and Tom Hamilton (ESPN) with Premiership Rugby Communications Director Paul Morgan acting as chair – but this season the public will act as a tenth judge.

Your vote and those from the other nine judges will then be tallied to reveal the winner each month.

Voting closing at 5pm on Friday so to ensure your favourite player wins, get voting on the official Premiership Rugby app. Access the Polls section in the More menu tab and get voting!
