Warriors face trips to France, Russia and Wales in European Challenge Cup

Warriors will face trips to France, Wales and Russia in next season’s European Challenge Cup following Wednesday’s draw held in Switzerland.

Warriors were drawn in Pool One alongside Top 14 side Castres, Dragons of the Pro-14 and Enisei-STM who qualified through last season’s European Continental Shield.

Warriors drew Dragons and Enisei-STM in the same pool in the 2016/17 Challenge Cup, beating both at Sixways but losing on the road.

Castres will become the 13th French club Warriors have played in European competition. Castres were losing finalists in this competition in 2000 and beaten semi-finalists in the Heineken Cup two years later.

Dates for the European Challenge Cup matches have yet to be confirmed but matches will be played over the following weekends:
Round 1: November 15/16/17
Round 2: November 22/23/24
Round 3: December 6/7/8
Round 4: December 13/14/15
Round 5: January 10/11/12
Round 6: January 17/18/19
Quarter-finals: April 3/4/5
Semi-finals: May 1/2/3
Final (Stade de Marseille):– May 22
