Industry-leading PA system to be installed at Sixways

Warriors have started work on upgrading and improving the public address system at Sixways as the latest stage in developments at the stadium which will transform the matchday experience for spectators.

A new speaker system is being installed in the West Stand – the oldest part of the stadium – and will ensure Warriors have a modern and effective public address system in the stadium bowl.

“We ask spectators for feedback after every match at Sixways and one of the issues that was raised on a regular basis last season was the muffled or distorted sound on the PA system,” said Peter Kelly, Warriors’ Operations Director.

“We have taken those comments on board and we are now working closely with Pel Services Ltd, who have experience in audio systems in stadiums, to remedy this.

“We are stripping out the existing sound system in the West Stand which was around 20 years old and are replacing it with a brand new one.

“Upgrades in other areas of the ground will also help transform the quality of our public address system.

“The new sound system will help enhance the new floodlights and big screens which we have already started work on to make the matchday experience at Sixways the very best in the Gallagher Premiership.”
